Louisiana Purchase- In The Year 1803
Summary:
The Lousiana Purchase shows the U.S. in the fulfillment of Manifest Destiny by expanding (and essentially, doubling) the land of the U.S. at the time. The United States had purchased Louisiana from France. It would also allow them to have better economic means. The land was rich with natural resources, offered valuable wildlife, fertile farmland, prairies, pastures, and forests. The purchase allowed settlers to populate the area. This would allow the United States to move closer to achieving their goal of Manifest Destiny by gaining more land to settle and resources to use. BNA shared a border with Lousiana and the U.S. might threaten to invade through Rupert's land and takeover due to the attitude of Manifest Destiny, which could be devastating to the future of BNA colonies.

Key Points:
-The United States purchased Louisiana from France
-doubled the land mass of U.S. at the time, good place for settlers
-Louisiana had rich natural resources as well as wildlife, fertile farmland, prairies, pastures, forests, and large deposits of minerals(economically useful)
-Lousiana bordered BNA(British North America); U.S could potentially invade BNA

How this relates to Manifest destiny and how it will/will not impact the BNA colonies.
The Lousiana Purchase allowed the U.S. to move closer to Manifest Destiny (the belief that the United States is destined to take over all of North America) by gaining more land and resources. The resources would allow U.S. economy, military, and population to grow faster than before and it could possibly overpower BNA with vast numbers. Not allowing U.S. to purchase Lousiana could've been beneficial to France ( and all of BNA), but France had lost many resources in earlier fights and couldn't spare any military or resources to defend the area. France also needed the money. All in all, France sold Lousiana because it couldn't defend it and that land provided U.S. with vast economic and military means to expand.
